“My ambition has always been to preach the Good News where the name of Christ has never been heard, rather than where a church has already been started by someone else.”
Apostle Paul… Romans 15:20
A fifth Grader, in the Valley, recently suggested to his class we should quit killing innocent animals and buy our meat at the local grocery store.
Having been raised in a farming community I realize this uninformed statement comes from a lack of experience about the origin of meat. Likewise, some people think Churches just appear out of the air, are a matter of convenience, and are mostly needed for Funerals and Weddings.
I challenge you to become familiar with the rest of this page and consider becoming actively involved in Starting Churches which Transform Community and raise Awareness to the Vibrancy of our God.
Church Planting Definition
A couple of decades ago starting new churches would have been labeled as starting a “Mission Church” However, today it is referred to as “church planting.” The main difference being a “Mission Church” can easily be an end to itself, where “planting a church” is more organic, like planting a cucumber vine. You would expect more than one cucumber from that plant, and the potential for endless seasons of fruitfulness because of the seeds within each cucumber. Likewise when we plant a church we expect to see many churches born from that one body of believers and the endless potential for other multiplying churches as a result of those dynamic seeds (believers) being scattered around our nation and world.
Phoenix is ranked as the 6th most populous city in America, and is in the top ten of most under churched cities. This includes not only a need for physical locations of churches, but the general attitude of people and their lack of understanding of God’s involvement in their life and world.
Valley Rim Church Plants attempt to become transformational organisms in their communities and regions. We encourage each church and member to be the Audible, Visible, Expression of the Invisible God. By serving our communities, building relationships, and meeting needs with the Love of Christ, we become the hands and feet of Jesus to those who have never met Him.
Levels of Involvement
We need your prayers! The scripture says in Luke 10:2b “So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” NLT
How to Partner With Us
Prayer is the most vital intervention in this postmodern city, but you could also partner in other ways with one of our church plants. Visit us, volunteer to help in a community project, become a member of a church plant, give of your time, talents, treasure, and testimony. Anyone can sit on the sidelines in the auditorium and applaud or criticize but it takes a rare breed of believer to flex their spiritual and physical muscles to yoke themselves with Christ and help bear the weight of a new baby church.
